Celebrating Service 2014

Celebrating Service Cover PhotoOne week from today, the St. Norbert College community will be gathering together to celebrate service. On Tuesday, May 6, 2014 the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning will be hosting our annual Celebrating Service event. Through spoken stories and visual displays, this event will showcase how students are impacting our community through service. Join us in celebration beginning at 3:00pm in Todd Wehr Hall!

In addition to the visual display boards, attendees will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with student volunteers and non-profit interns. The event will transition from an open-house style to the storytelling portion at 3:30pm. At this time, six individuals will be sharing their personal five-minute service story. These talks will highlight their personal and diverse experiences with service. The speakers include: Jessi Wightman ‘15, Lindsey Osgood ‘14, Kendra Wauters ‘14, Samantha Lensmire ‘15, Dr. Tynisha Meidl (Education Faculty), and Ryan Dreier (Salvation Army of Brown County).

The entire campus community is invited to attend. There will be an ice cream sundae bar at the event with over 40 toppings to choose from. Come enjoy a delicious scoop of ice cream while getting the scoop on service! We look forward to seeing you there!
